Obituary for Dominic Emil Jarecki

Cameron, Missouri- Dominic Emil Jarecki, 82, Cameron, passed away on April 3, 2014 at the Missouri Veteran’s Home, Cameron.
Dominic was born on October 3, 1931 in Columbus, Nebraska to Dominic Paul and Emilia (Liss) Jarecki. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Father Reynold Jarecki OFM, Eugene Jarecki and Joseph Jarecki.
Dominic was an avid golfer, cantor and vocalist at St. Munchin’s Catholic Church and crafted many rockwork landscapes in the Cameron area.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He attended the St. Francis Monastery in Burlington, WI.
Survivors: Son, Dominic “Nic” (Angela) Jarecki, Sugar Land,TX; Daughter, Dana (David) King, Topeka, KS; 7 grandchildren, Dominic “Dommie”, Carolyn, Madeleine and Macayla Jarecki, Nathan, Kaitlyn and Lillabeth King; 6 sisters, Pat (Jack) Gomes, Baton Rouge, LA, Dolores Filipowicz and Janette Pruch, Omaha, NE, Mary Ann (Norbert) Smith, Lee’s Summit, MO, Alice Crews and Theresa Rojas, Independence, MO.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 5, 2014 at St. Munchin Catholic Church, Cameron. Prayer Service: 5:30 PM, Friday evening with visitation following from 6-8:00 PM at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Inurnment at a later date at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.
