Obituary for Carolyn Ruth Robinson (Wyckoff)

Maysville, Missouri- Carolyn Ruth Robinson, 77, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at VITAS Hospice in Research Medical Center.
She was the eleventh of twelve children born to Chester and Helen (Barnes) Wyckoff on July 14, 1937. She was a 1955 graduate of Maysville High School.
Carolyn was a homemaker, worked at Sunset Home and retired in 2007 from the DeKalb County Senior Center after 30 years as the Site Director. She was a member of the Grand River Muzzleloaders, United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.
She married John L. Robinson on March 29, 1957 in Osborn, MO.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Eileen Stevenson Watson; brothers, David and George Wyckoff and daughter-in-law, Janet Vette Robinson.
Survivors include her husband, John L., Maysville; 2 sons, John G (Melissa) Robinson, Maysville and Robert (Karen) Robinson, Stockton; 3 daughters, Pam (Richard) Whalen, Cameron, Janet McCarthy, Cameron and Sally Griffing, Lawson; 15 grandchildren, Cory (Stacey) Robinson, Kyle (Emma) Robinson, Neil Robinson, Savannah Robinson, Shelby Fahrni, Jamie Robinson, Zach Robinson, Garrett Robinson, Natalie (Victor) Orta, Matthew (Bobbie Jo) DeShon, Michael (Brandy) DeShon, Jason (Julie) LaChance, Lucas (Katie) LaChance, Logan Griffing and Ashlyn Griffing; 17 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Frank Wyckoff, Cameron, Alvin Lee (Emilee) Wyckoff, Ankeny, IA, Keith (Betty) Wyckoff, Riverside, CA, Marie (Gerald) Daniels Arvada, CO, Lois (Gerald) Reynolds, King City, MO, Mary (Dwayne ) Hankins, Kansas City, John Wyckoff (Pat Grenier), Cameron, Everett (Linda) Wyckoff, Cameron; sister-in-law, Etta Mae Wyckoff, Savannah; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat Sheperd, Cameron, Betty (Craig) Barnett, Blue Springs, Kenny (Marion) Robinson, Cameron, Mike Robinson, Lincoln, CA and Gary (Debbie) Robinson, Santa Rosa; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and surgeons at Menorah Hospital, the Oncology and ICU team at Research Medical and VITAS Hospice at Research Medical for the excellent care during her stay. Special thanks to Dr. Singh and Dr. Jafri who kept us informed and up to date through this journey.
Services: 10:30 AM, Friday, August 22, 2014 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Visitation: 6-8:00 PM, Thursday evening at the funeral home. Inurnment at a later date at Mt.
