Leawood, Kansas – Virginia Anne Thomas, 96, Leawood, Kansas formerly of Cameron, Missouri passed away on November 18, 2014.
Virginia was born on July 17, 1918 in Gallatin, Missouri to M.E. and Lettie (O’Toole) Place.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd E. Thomas and brother, George Place.
Virginia was a 1935 graduate of Cameron High School and attended Northwest Missouri Teachers College.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cameron and a life-long member of PEO BK Chapter.
Virginia was the co-owner/bookkeeper of Tommy’s Super Service with husband, Lloyd “Tommy” Thomas.
Survivors: 2 nephews, Tom (Judy) Place, Leawood, KS and Jerry (Elizabeth) Place, Gladstone, MO; niece, Mary Ann (Tom) Edwards, Temecula, CA; sister-in-law, Gardie (Place) Pilcher, Cameron; many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Services: 2:00 PM, Monday, November 24, 2014 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Visitation: 1-2:00 PM, prior to the service.
