Condolence: Time moves on, and eases the pain of our losses. But also, it makes our memories grow more fond and more precious, which is ever-so-true about Roger. He's still missed.

Condolence: Roger was a friend, a man who lead others naturally and showed patience and humor to everyone around him. He was a man who left big empty shoes for his friends to fill. I hope to be more like Roger in my day to day life. He was loved by many and will be terribly missed. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Condolence: Roger was one of my best friends. I'll be forever grateful and honored that he was. We knew each other socially and attended countless concerts, plays, and movies. His sense of humor was priceless. Conversations usually included uncontrollable laughter. Many of his on-liners and twisted ideas became part of my repertoire. His generosity was unconditional, and he gave his time, knowledge, talent, and attention freely. He was an avid student of pop culture and always had the latest technological gadget. What an awesome spirit! A Crowded House song we used to play together on our guitars has been running through my head the past several days. Part of the chorus is "Everywhere you go, always take the weather with you." Roger took the weather with him wherever he went, and it was always warm and sunny. I miss him terribly. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Condolence: I knew Roger as Ralff through our gaming community. I never met him in person, but spent many hours with him in the world of Sanctuary. His voice was gentle, and his laugh was genuine (and contagious). You were a truly good person. Your absence diminishes our world.

Condolence: I'm still having a hard time believing he's gone. I always assumed I'd see him again some day. Roger was one of the smartest and most curious people I've ever known. His passing will be felt for a long time amongst many people, including myself. My heart goes out to his family. You should know he was well respected and admired. I am going to miss him. You passed away too early, my friend.

Condolence: I hardly knew Roger. We had some interactions on-line and one lunch with friends that we had in common. But everything I read here resonates with my memories of him. Kind, intelligent, funny, just a joy to interact with. The world is lesser for his passing. I offer my condolences to all his friends and family.

Condolence: Roger was my best friend in college. And his mom Sandy befriended me as a nervous freshman before I ever meet Roger. I am heartbroken at his passing and my condolences go out to all his family and friends. Roger was one of the most intelligent and interesting people I've ever know and I know he will be missed by many. We had a number of great adventures and it was a blessing to have known him.

Condolence: I spent many years sharing my time with Roger, both at work and at play. Roger and I were partners in a golf league for many years, we won a bowling league together, shot trap, traveled, and spent lots of time with a group of friends I will never forget. I am thankful for all the memories. Roger was true friend and will be missed.

Condolence: I met Roger "Ralff" through our shared online gaming community, Alea Iacta Est. He had a wonderful way of putting everyone at ease. He was so easy to talk to, even if you'd just met him, and always seemed to have a twinkle in his eye. Probably because he was about to say something to make you laugh. He was a kind soul who will be greatly missed.

Condolence: My heart goes out to all who knew Roger. He was one of the most amazing people I ever had the pleasure to get to know. He was kind, caring, witty and intelligent. He always had time to chat. We would chat about almost everything. From novels to comics- from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang- from politics to religion. He knew his way around any subject. I would like to think I swayed him to my side of the argument (if there was one), but it seemed as though he always swayed me to his. But alas- he was probably right in the first place. We spent countless hours with friends defending the castle or turbo boosting around an arena with a soccer ball in fancy panted vehicles. We spent even more hours surfing the internet watching youtube videos, trying to understand the people of Wal-mart and why someone would take such awkward family photos. Sometimes we would just hang out in a group and take turns sharing music or telling stories. And boy could Roger tell a good story! If I didn’t know any better, I’d say I was Roger’s only friend because he was always there when I needed him. But I know there are dozens of people that can say exactly what I have stated above. If there was anything he was more generous with than his patients- it was his time. The world has suffered a great loss. I know I will always miss him. My prayers and heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

Condolence: I still chuckle at some of the jokes Roger would stop to share with me while I was sitting at my desk. I'm not really into games, but Roger always had a fun one he insisted I download and try! I remember dropping my cell phone in water, and he knew exactly how to fix it. Always solving problems with a creative solution and with a funny story to share.

Condolence: What a gem of a man! I worked with Roger for several years and his spirit was bouyant. He lit up every room he walked into and he was always positive and uplifting. But on top of these traits he was also one of the smartest guys in any room he walked into. I will miss Roger.

Condolence: I’ve worked with Roger for the past 8-9 years. He was a man with a big heart. He was thoughtful, intelligent, unassuming, and always ready to pitch in. A natural leader, Roger was generous with his time and took great pride and pleasure in mentoring younger professionals. I will miss our conversations, his insights and humor. My heartfelt condolences to his family during this time of loss. He will be missed by everyone he touched.

Condolence: I've known Roger for about a decade, and his passing is a great loss to everyone who knew him. He had a combination of intelligence, curiosity, humor, and empathy that is extremely rare. And while he tended to be a leader, he was very unassuming. He always had an interesting story or would tell you about a great book or movie or game. And his skill at getting people to see past conflict and actually talk to each other was remarkable. We will all miss him very much.

Condolence: Roger, or Ralff as most of us knew him in our gaming family, was one of a kind. He was sweet, brilliant, warm, and caring. He was a friend to all who knew him and was one of those guys that you just wanted to hug for making the world a warmer place. The first time I met him in person, it was like we had known each other for a decade or more. He was giving in every way possible, had so much patience with people, and loved to laugh and share his knowledge. We are all better for knowing him, and our world is a little darker now that he is gone.

Condolence: Roger has been my friend going on ten years now, and I can't overstate the impact he had on me and so many of our friends. He truly was one of the kindest, funniest, most caring, and generous people I have ever known. For all of the hours we talked online, in-game or over instant message, he was also the only person to ever call me on the phone! I know it was because he was probably bored while driving somewhere, but I can't believe we won't have those moments to catch up again. There's so much more I'll need to tell him. My condolences to all of his family and friends. Please take comfort in the fact that Roger was loved by so, so many, and that our hearts are with you.

Condolence: I knew Roger through an online community known as Alea Iacta Est. We played video games together, joked and shared our lives, for a decade. I cannot quantify the number of times his life brushed mine, how many times he made me smile. Ralff or Ralffie as we knew him, was always around. Twitter was filled with his puns, Facebook was uplifted by his comments, our discussions in various games were always made that much more merry by his presence. He was so kind. He was brilliantly funny. His presence is everywhere in our community, he leaves such big shoes to fill. He had such a big heart and he was such a diplomat too when we ran into a sticky situation between personalities he knew just how to navigate it and get everyone joking again. I was also lucky enough to get to meet him in person a few times, he gave great hugs and was just as genuine and giving as online. A dear friend always. I will miss him so much. I need to say more, so much more, because I don't want to say good bye to him.

Condolence: When I was new to an online community Roger and I both participated in, he was one of the first to treat me kindly and make me feel welcome. He was one of the reasons I continued to participate in that community and still do to this day. I regret never having had the chance to meet him in person, but he certainly left a great impression on me as a friend. For all those who knew him well to speak so highly of him, we are all brighter in life because of him, even in small ways. My sincerest condolences.

Condolence: Roger had to be one of the most selfless men I've ever met, always available and eager to share his time, wisdom, or humor. He had a amazing knack for obscure movie references in conversations or a good word of wisdom for dealing with a problem.

Condolence: Roger was a wonderful man, full of life and humor and kindness - more than most people I know. While I personally never got to meet with him in person, his warmth was felt by all who were lucky enough to be in contact with him. Our community is dimmer for having lost such a wonderful light. We mourn with you from near and far. I will miss my friend very much.

Condolence: I and many others knew Roger through a large but close-knit online gaming community, one that he helped shape into a fun, inviting atmosphere. He clearly affected many people in a profoundly positive way. His friendliness, sense of humor, and ability to see the good in any situation really struck a chord with almost everyone he came into contact with, even for short moments. He will be sorely missed.
