1929-2018
Cameron, Missouri- Francis Edward “Slim” Willits, 88, Cameron passed away on March 10, 2018.
Francis was born on August 31, 1929 in Weatherby, Missouri to Walter Bryan and Mary Elizabeth (Alcock) Willits.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Charles Edward and Steven Eugene Willits; and a sister, Margaret.
Francis was a veteran if the United States Army serving during the Korean War.
Francis worked as a Mechanic at Lake City Ammunition Plant, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of the Winston Baptist Church, Winston, Missouri.
Survivors: 4 sons, Johnnie, Wayne and Donald Willits, Weatherby, MO Robert (Erin) Willits, St. Joseph, MO; 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Services: 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Visitation: 1-2:00 PM, prior to the service.
Burial: Alta Vista Cemetery, Weatherby, MO. Memorial donations to the Winston Baptist Church, Winston, MO. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
