Traditional Chapel Service

The traditional chapel service is held at our funeral home. This service includes the basic services of the funeral director and staff, local transfer of remains to the funeral home, embalming and preparation of normal remains, chapel facilities, funeral ceremony, visitation, funeral coach, family vehicles, clergy transportation, pallbearer vehicles and a flower vehicle.

This does not include the selection of Casket, Outer Burial Container, Remembrance Package, and Cash Advance items.

Traditional Church Service

For those who prefer services held at your church, our traditional church service includes basic services of the funeral director and staff, local transfer of remains to the funeral home, embalming and preparation of normal remains, transfer to church, funeral ceremony, visitation, funeral coach, family vehicles, clergy transportation, pallbearer vehicle and flower vehicle.

This does not include the selection of Casket, Outer Burial Container, Remembrance Package, and Cash Advance items.

Graveside Service

This is for those who prefer services held at the cemetery. This option includes basic services of the funeral director and staff, local transfer of remains to the funeral home, embalming and preparation of normal remains, visitation, funeral ceremony, funeral coach, family vehicles, clergy transportation, pallbearer vehicles and flower vehicle.

This does not include the selection of Casket, Outer Burial Container, Remembrance Package, and Cash Advance items.

Traditional Church or Chapel Service with Cremation following the service.

Services can be held at our chapel or at your church. This option

includes basic services of the funeral director and staff, local

transfer of remains to the funeral home, embalming and preparation of normal remains, visitation, funeral ceremony, and flower vehicle.

Basic Cremation with Memorial Service

Services can be held at our chapel or at your church. This option includes basic services of the funeral director and staff, local transfer of remains to the funeral home, preparation of the body for cremation, cremation, visitation, memorial ceremony and flower vehicle.

This does not include the selection of Casket, Outer Burial Container, Remembrance Package, and Cash Advance items.

Direct Cremation

This service includes basic services of the funeral director and staff, local transfer of remains to the funeral home, preparation of the body for cremation, cremation, and transportation to the crematory.

This does not include the selection of Casket, Outer Burial Container, Remembrance Package, and Cash Advance items.

Death  Away From Home

If death should occur away from home, contact Poland-Thompson Funeral Home. Our staff will provide arrangements for transportation of remains to our funeral home from anywhere in the United States or abroad.

Our other services include immediate burial, as well as receiving and forwarding of remains to or from other funeral homes. Please contact us for further information.

A brief explanation of “Cash Advance” items.  This refers to services such as newspaper obituaries, minister and musician honoraria, hairdresser, certified copies of the death certificate, opening and closing of grave, sales tax, mileage, grass tent and chairs, flowers, Remembrance Package, and date of death on marker — services that are not included in the traditional service options.  These Cash Advance items will all be itemized on your funeral contract.
