Turney, Missouri- Joan Willmott Crouch, 81, Turney, Missouri passed away on January 15, 2012.
Joan was born on June 12, 1930 in St. Joseph, Missouri to John Adam and Helen Amelia (Todd) Breckenridge.
She was a 1948 graduate of Turney High School and the Casters Beauty Academy.
Joan was a member of the Browning Baptist Church for 18 years and the First Methodist Church of Turney and served both churches faithfully. She was a charter member of the Missouris Shoal Club DAR and Turney Planned Progress. She was a member of the Turney Mercy Sewing Circle, leader for the Turney Troopers 4-H Club and was a volunteer for the Lathrop Grade School.
Joan married Aubrey Wayne Couch on December 22, 1950 in Stanberry, MO. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents; 2 brothers, Allen and J.A. Breckenridge and 2 sisters, Helen Porter and Catherine Breckenridge.
Survivors: 3 sons, Mitchell Crouch, Turney, Marcus Crouch, Kansas City, MO, Myron and wife, Debby Crouch, Jacksonville, FL; Daughter, Marcia Phillips, Plattsburg, MO; 2 brothers, Bill and wife, Wanda Breckenridge, KS, Sam and wife, Margarite Breckenridge, Lee’s Summit, MO; 2 sisters, Loraine Base, AR, Willa and husband, Charles Maxwell, Cameron; 9 grandchildren, Patrick, Adam, Jonathan, Lucas, Daniel, Alex, Andrea, Amelia, Anna and 5 great-grandchildren, R.J., Grafton, Daegon, Renee and Keelie.
Services: 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Turney United Methodist Church, Turney, MO. Visitation: 6-8:00 PM, Wednesday evening at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron.
