I remember the day Mark and I met Bob for the first time. It was at Dan & Staci’s home in the country. Mark’s Dad and Grandfather were both great Farmall fans and Mark happened to be wearing his Farmall hat that day. Right away, Bob drew Mark in with a cheeky comment about Mark’s hat . This lead to an enthusiastic conversation Farmall and tractors; much to Mark’s delight. We had lost Mark’s dad the year prior, and Bob’s sweet interest in Mark gave Mark some healing through the sharing his childhood memories of Dad. First they talked Farmall and family, then tractors in general, then military service- with a little friendly ribbing between Army Soldier & Marine. I believe Mark talked more that day with Bob than Dan! For myself, very quickly after meeting Bob and Donna , I knew how our dear friend Dan had become such a kind and endearing person whom we’ve come to love as a brother. Bob made Mark feel he was talking with his own father. It’s someone very special who can touch another so deeply with such a simple encounter. But while Mark and Bob’s meeting would appear simple to any onlooker, it was especially meaningful for Mark. For the first time in a very long time, Mark was able to remember his own father without sadness. I believe Bob sensed that too, as he encouraged Mark to share while Bob listened with keen and jovial interest. Our hearts are filled with love for all the Earley family. We pray that soon, your memories also will flow without sadness but only joy of the man who continues to positively affect the world through his legacy and family - Mark & Beth Fry
