Virginia B.  Stroup (Burge)
- Virginia Burge Stroup, 97, Gallatin, passed away, March 27, 2014.
Virginia was born February 22, 1917 in Gallatin, Missouri, to Harry and Irma (Goodbar) Burge.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Stroup; grandson, Doran Gross, Jr.; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Virginia worked as a Fire- Allied Lines Underwriter for Cameron Mutual for over 24 years and was a licensed funeral director, working with her husband Virgil as owner and operator of Stroup Funeral Home in Winston, Missouri. Virginia was a very caring person who enjoyed serving the community.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winston.
Survivors: Son, Vic Stroup, Cameron, MO; 2 daughters, Nancy Caldwell, Gallatin,MO and Belinda (Doran) Gross, Stewartsville, MO; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Services: 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, Winston, MO. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Friday, March 28th, Poland Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron, MO Burial: Alta Vista Cemetery, Weatherby, MO.
