Tucson, Arizona--Helen E. Kellam, 95, died surrounded by family on November 30, 2013. She was in the care of Hospice Family Care after a lengthy struggle with renal failure.

Helen was born Helen Bowman in the family home near Berlin, Gentry County, Missouri on April 20, 1918. She graduated from Grandview Consolidated School in 1936. She worked as a packer at Quaker Oats in St. Joseph. She lived in St. Joseph, Turney, and Cameron, Missouri before moving to Tucson, Arizona in June 1985. She was a member of the 22nd Street Baptist Church in Tucson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Kellam, whom she married March 14, 1953; her parents, Jasper W. and Maggie M. Bowman; brothers Everett J., E. Welbern, A.J., Hareld J., and Daniel N. Bowman; and her sister, Katherine M. Williams.

Surviving are daughter, Karen Clarke, Tucson; son, Kenneth Michaelis and his wife, Sharon, Amado, Arizona; and grandchildren, Leslie (Guy) Valiquette and her husband, Todd, Wyandotte, Michigan; Michael Morgan, Parkville, Missouri; Brian Michaelis Kansas City, Missouri, and Kelly (Michaelis) Mayfield and her husband, Jed, of Tucson; five great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Graveside service for Helen and Martin will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Cameron Memory Gardens cemetery, Old 36 Highway, Cameron, Missouri.
