Obituary for Ruth L. Lewellen (Blosser)

Ruth Louise Lewellen, 85, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Presbyterian Manor in Topeka.
She was born May 8, 1929 in Turney, Missouri to George and Pearl (Nave) Blosser.
Ruth married Darl Lewellen, September 24, 1945 in Turney.
She was employed at National Belles Hess in Kansas City in the early 60s, then moved to Lawerence, Kansas, where she was Executive Secretary for the American Legion Boys State of Kansas.
Darl and Ruth lived in Lima, Ohio for many years then moved to Baldwin City, Kansas.
Ruth is preceded in death by husband, Darl Lewellen in 2006 and son, Gary Lewellen in 2010.
Survivors: 3 daughters, Judy Walters, Perry, Kansas, Lynn Lewellen Cain and
Gwen Tillisch, Blythewood, South Carolina; 4 grandchildren, Michelle Gorden, Stephanie Whittaker, Beau Tillisch and Jamie Tillisch Wiedeman ; 10 great grandchildren, Natasha, Kendra, Mikayla, Jessica, Angela, Julie, Tristyn, Ameilya, Jace and Emeryld.
Ruth will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
Graveside Service: 3:00 pm, Tuesday, October 21, 2014, Cameron Memory Gardens, Cameron, Missouri
Visitation: 1:00- 2:30 pm, prior to graveside service, at Poland Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron, Missouri
