Cameron, Missouri- Donald Ray Mathena, 81, Cameron, passed away on November 4, 2014.
Don was born on April 16, 1933 in Bicknell, Indiana to Guy and Ester (Elgan) Mathena. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tammy Lynn and brother, Billy Joe.
Don had been active in the Boy Scouts of America as a Troop leader for Troop #175 in Cameron and also coached youth baseball.
He loved to travel, listen to music and he loved his family.
Survivors: companion, Ruby Bassett, Cameron; 3 sons, Danny (Annette) Mathena, Kearney, MO, Terry (Melanie) Mathena, Camdenton and Ari Maccabi, Overseas; daughter, Debbie (Doug) Hahn, Cameron; 12 grandchildren, Kipton, Lindsey and Christopher Mathena, Angela Riley, Kristina Castellanos, Alfred Baca, Blake and Byron Hahn, April Williams, Crissy Filley, Malachi and Micah Maccabi; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 2-4:00 PM, Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. No scheduled service. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Boy Scout Troop #175, Cameron Regional Medical Center Foundation and/or Three Rivers Hospice. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
