Cameron, Missouri- Blanche Emma Bottorff, 94, Cameron, passed away on November 6, 2014 at Quail Run Nursing Home.
Blanche was born in Levant, Kansas to George and Pearl (Carpenter) Tubbs on March 12, 1920 being one of 12 children.
In 1937, she married Chester Bottorff, a third generation craftsman in Colby, Kansas. In 1951, they moved to a farm near Kidder, Missouri with three sons, farming and raising cattle. They moved to Cameron, Missouri in 1957 to North Nettleton. In 1961, their 4th son, Rick was born.
Obtaining a Cosmetology license, Blanche opened Blanche’s Beauty Shop, which she operated here for many years.
Blanche was a member of the First Christian Church, Kidder, Missouri.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Chet, in 1990; son, Ray in 1997; her parents; and siblings, Wayne, Isabelle, Lorraine, Viola, Evelyn, Fred, Jim, Minnie, George and Elon.
One brother, Gerald Tubbs, Colby, KS, survives her. Also 3 sons, Roy and wife, Marlene, Cameron, Ronnie and partner, Joyce Leonardo, Rick and wife, Sandy, all of Kidder, MO; grandsons, Mike and Rebecca Bottorff, Cameron, CJ and Tami Bottorff, Ricky and Ashley Bottorff, all of Kidder, MO; granddaughter, Brandi Dice, Cameron, MO; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron, MO. Visitation: 1-2:00 PM, prior to the service. Burial: Graceland Memorial Cemetery, Cameron. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
