Robert W. Burr
1932-2015

Osborn, Missouri-Robert William Burr, 82, of Osborn, MO passed away peacefully at his home on January 30, 2015.
Robert was born August 23, 1932, son of Montgomery Slemons Burr and Lillian Gray Burr.
Robert graduated from Osborn High School in 1950 and attended Northwest Missouri State College for two years.
Robert married Beatrice Marie Bush on November 23, 1952 at the Stewartsville Methodist Church.
Robert served in the US Army from 1953 until his Honorable discharge as a Corporal in 1955.
Bob was active in the community; serving for 12 years on the Osborn Board of Education, Clinton County Zoning Committee, Lions Club, Elks Club and American Legion.
Robert was preceded in death by his father Montgomery in 1963, his mother Lillian in 1996 and by his wife Beatrice in 1993 and daughter-in-law, Lorie in 2007.
Robert married Ella Ray Hankins Murray of Saint Joseph, MO on November 25, 1995.
Survivors are his loving wife Ella Ray of the home, daughter Deborah Burr of Platte City, MO, sons James (Peggy) Burr of Kearney, MO, and John (Hope) Burr of Cameron, MO, sister Mary Lee Tutt (Ed) of Gladstone, MO, Step-children Mike (Kelly) Murray of Allen, TX, Jim (Margaret) Murray of Albuquerque, NM, Susan (Julie) Murray of Rolla, MO.
Grandchildren; Jeffrey (Penny) Brockman of Lawrence, KS , Jennifer (Grant) Carlson of Iowa City, IA, Jeanine (Jeff) Knights of Parkville, MO, Sarah (Braydon) Taylor of Excelsior Springs, MO, Rachel (Matt) Terrill of Kearney, MO, Steven (fiancée Leigh) Burr of Lee’s Summit, MO, Ethan (Holli) Burr of Kansas City, MO. Rosetta (Ivan) Herring of St. Joseph, MO, Anthony (fiancée Desi) Shipps of St. Joseph, MO, Katherine Webb of Cameron, MO, Luke (fiancée Eva) Murray of Austin, TX, Shannon Murray of Albuquerque, NM, Frank Murray of Allen, TX, Jack and Dace Murray of Rolla, MO.
Great- Grandchildren; Hope Burr, Veronica Carlson, Beckett Brockman, Declan and Adeline Terrill, Hunter Martinez, Kylee Dixon and Kaden Taylor.
Visitation: 6-8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Poland-Thompson Funeral; Home, Cameron. Services will be held at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron, MO at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 with visitation from 1-2:00 PM, prior to the service. Interment to follow at Osborn Evergreen Cemetery, Osborn, MO. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Three Rivers Hospice, Cameron, MO for the wonderful care they gave our father.
