1948-2015

Cameron, Missouri- Rex E. Underwood, 66, Cameron went to heavenly home, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 following heart surgery complications. He was born September 4, 1948 in Brush, Colorado to Laurence and Hazel (Hunt) Underwood. On December 18, 1976 Rex married Anne Gray at the Far West Church in Cameron.
He served 3 years, a month, and 23 days in the United States Army. He was a 13 year member of the Carpenter’s Local 1262. He retired from the Cameron Post Office in 2011 after 27 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, helping others, time outdoors, watching and playing sports. He was an elder at the Hamilton Church of Christ. He is and will be deeply missed by many.
Survivors: wife, Anne (Gray) Underwood; son, Clint (Tabitha) Underwood; daughter, Dana (Billy) Goble; 4 grandchildren, the “adopted” Bray family, several cousins, a niece, nephews, and countless friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ray; sister, Linda, uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
There will be a casual Celebration of Life Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 1-4:00 PM, at the Hamilton Church of Christ, Hamilton, MO (behind the lumber yard). Memorials may be made to the Caldwell County Foundation Food Pantry and/or to the Southern Christian Children’s Home. Mr. Underwood has been cremated under the direction of Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
