VIRGINIA WADE FOSTER
1926-2015
Cameron, MO – Virginia Wade Foster, 88, passed away on September 21, 2015 at the Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 26, 1926 in Linneus, MO to Thomas H. Wade and Merle Meyers Wade. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wayne Foster who she married in 1947. She is survived by 2 children: Linda Whitaker (Carl) of Indianapolis, IN, and Roger Foster (Susan Mickey) of Austin, TX. One sister, Anna Stark and one brother, Gene Wade survives, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded her in death, Thomas and William.
She worked as an accountant for United Air Lines in Elco, NV and as a secretary for the National Guard in Maryville, MO. In Fayette, MO she was the secretary to the Superintendent of Fayette High School. In Rock Port, MO she was the accountant and secretary for the Rock Port Telephone Company.
She was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church in every town she lived in, and an active member of the Laureate Gamma Beta Sorority.
Visitation will be Monday, September 28, 2015 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Poland Thompson Funeral Home, 222 W 3rd Street, Cameron MO 64429. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, 11 am at the Cameron United Methodist Church, 201 N Pine Street, Cameron, MO 64429. Burial will be at the Laclede Cemetery in Laclede, MO after the services. Memorials may be made to Three Rivers Hospice, 500 Lana Dr. Cameron, MO 64429. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
