Clarksdale, Missouri- William Joel Simmons, 86, Clarksdale, passed away on June 16, 2016.
William was born on January 2, 1930 in Benton County, Missouri to Willie J. and Nannie (Spratley) Simmons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, William, Micky and Ricky; 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
William was a farmer and truck driver for Beaufort Transfer Company.
On June 10, 1953, William married Wanda Parker in Harrison, Arkansas. She survives of the home. They were married for 63 years.
Additional Survivors: 3 sons, Nixon Simmons, Kenneth (Brenda) Simmons and Willie (Christy) Simmons; brother, Leonard (Betty) Simmons; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Services: 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron, MO. Visitation: 6-8:00 PM, Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Burial: 2:00 PM, following the service at Ridge Park Cemetery, Marshall, MO. Memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Association. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
