Osborn, Missouri- Robert Milton Hankins, 92, Osborn, passed away on November 13, 2016.
Robert was born on March 30, 1924 in Osborn, Missouri to Carl and Kathryn (Hawn) Hankins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Dennis Hankins; 2 brothers, John and Rodney Hankins; sister, Ellie Murray Burr.
Robert was a 1942 graduate of Osborn High School and a lifelong farmer. He served in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Yorktown.
On July 17, 1944 in Troy, Kansas Robert married Dorothy Edwards. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors: Son, Larry (Kim) Hankins, Osborn, MO; 2 daughters, Sharon (Marvin) Wright, Lawson, MO and Barbara (Mark) Hamilton, Winfield, IA; 2 brothers, Gene Hankins, Cameron, MO and Darrell (Jo) Hankins, Birmingham, AL; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services: 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Visitation: 10-11:00 AM, prior to the service.
Burial: Osborn Evergreen Cemetery, Osborn, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations to Comfort Care Hospice and/or Osborn Baptist Church. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
