Kansas City, Missouri- Wilma “Jean” Estep, 89, Kansas City, formerly of Savannah, Missouri passed away on January 26, 2017.
Jean was born near Lathrop, Missouri October 17, 1927 to Ernest Rochell and Mabel Esther (Fairbanks) Pollard.
She graduated from Lathrop High School in 1945 and later, Business College in Kansas City, Missouri. She was employed by S.C. Johnson & Sons in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1948, Jean married Ted L. Estep of Turney, Missouri at Cameron United Methodist Church.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; parents; two half-brothers, A.J. and Joe Boen Pollard; three half-sisters, Vernadell Pollard, Avanell Stilfield and Zina Burris; two brothers, Leroy Pollard and Junior Pollard.
She is survived by her 5 children; sons, Ronald (Jeanne)Estep, Lee’s Summit, MO, Stephen (Dana) Estep, Golden, CO, Alan Estep, Arvada, CO, Charles (Jodi) Estep, St. Michael, MN and daughter, Esther (Ben) Schmitt, Kearney, MO; eleven grandchildren, Jeremy (Amy) Estep, Christy Trull, Scott (Amber) Estep, Chad Estep, Brigette (Ron) Rosenbaum, Griffin, Hunter and Allie Schmitt, Abbey and Olivia Estep; step-granddaughter, Keesha Jorgenson; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorial service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Savannah United Methodist Church, Savannah, Missouri. Visitation: 9-11:00 AM, prior to the service. Inurnment: Graceland Cemetery, Cameron, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Savannah United Methodist Church. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
