1933-2017
Turney, Missouri- Mary Louise Barnard Welsh, 83, of Turney, MO, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at home.
Mary was born May 6, 1933 to Richard and Drusilla Barnard in Cameron, MO and lived most of her life in Easton and Turney, MO.
She married Charles Wesley Welsh November 13, 1954 and they shared 62 loving years together.
After attending Platt College, she worked at Swift Credit Union in St Joseph before becoming a fulltime homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, family reunions, crossword puzzles, playing practical jokes and spending time at home with her family.
Mary, a member of Grace Baptist Church, Easton, was baptized December 21, 1966.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Drusilla Barnard; brothers, Richard, Marvin, Lawrence and Carlos Barnard.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Darla Walker and husband, Clayton; son, Charles and wife, Sandy, son, Curt and wife, Char; sister, Rebecca Lemon; several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Services: 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 4 2017, at the River of Life Baptist Church, Cameron, MO. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM-11:00AM, prior to the service. Interment: Graceland Cemetery, Cameron. In lieu of flowers, contributions will be accepted for a memorial fund in Mary’s honor. Arrangements: Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron.
