Debra “Debbie” Joann Hoyt, 54, Cameron, Missouri passed away on February 28, 2017.
Debbie was born to Charles and Bessie Stevenson on September 24, 1962. She grew up in the Liberty, Missouri area, where she met Steve Hoyt. They were married on April 18, 1979.
They had two boys, David and Troy. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1988.
She enjoyed cooking and baking and was best known for her cinnamon rolls. She also enjoyed gardening and planting flowers with her husband.
They moved to the Polo area in 1984 where they started a hog farm, at which time she began an extensive pig collection.
Debbie also loved entertaining her friends and family and was very hospitable.
Debbie enjoyed sharing her belief in the Bible with others and in 2004 made it her career, continuing until 2011. She helped many to come to an accurate understanding of Bible truths.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Steven Hoyt.
Survivors: 2 sons, David Hoyt, Cameron and Troy (Ciara) Hoyt, Hamilton; 2 brothers, Charles (Brenda) Stevenson, Jr. and James (Linda) Stevenson; 2 sisters, Alice (Gerald) Alexander and Amy Stevenson.
Memorial service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Cameron, MO. Arrangements: Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
