M. Blue Hawks
1927-2017


Cameron, Missouri- Mount Blue Hawks, 89, Cameron, passed away on March 5, 2017.
Blue was born on December 11, 1927 in Caldwell County near New York, Missouri to Francis and Rena (Riley) Hawks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Pete Hawks; step-great-grandson, Cylas Masters and a nephew, Phil Hawks.
Blue was a 1944 graduate of Penney High School, Hamilton, MO.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II.
On April 15, 1948, Blue married Letha Margarete Barron. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors: daughter, Linda (John) Hays, Monroe City, MO; son, Montie (Glenda) Hawks, Alexandria, VA; daughter, Dixie (David) Masters, Cameron; daughter, Becky (Walt) Arnold, Cameron; brother, Armour (Christine) Hawks, Gladstone, MO; 17grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Services: 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Poland-Thompson Chapel, Cameron. Visitation: 10-11:00 AM, prior to the service. Burial: Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cameron United Methodist Church. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
