Cameron, Missouri- Lois Arline Bestgen, 92, Cameron, passed away on September 26, 2017.
Lois was born on April 8, 1925 in Piedmont, Oklahoma to Fred Hugh and Laura (Russell) Kimball.
On April 22, 1946, Lois married Leo Bestgen, in Oklahoma City, OK.
Lois and Leo moved to the Cameron area, where they raised 4 children, Jeanette, Fred, David and Dan.
Lois loved her family, people and garage sales. For many years, she was the pianist and organist for many churches, weddings and funerals. The last song that she played was “God Bless America”, hours before her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; son, David Leo; 3 brothers and a sister.
Survivors: daughter, Jeanette Bestgen, Kansas City, MO; 2 sons, Fred Bestgen, Cameron, Dan (Joni) Bestgen, St. Joseph, MO; 3 grandchildren, Toby (Scott) Walton, Jill (Brian) Harlow, Jason (Lara) Troutner; 5 great-grandchildren, Jacob Troutner, Gabrielle Troutner, Nathan Troutner, Elizabeth Harlow and Ava Harlow.
Graveside Services: 3:30PM, Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. Munchin Catholic Cemetery, Cameron. There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MRC for Dan Bestgen’s nephews who battle Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Arrangements: Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron.
