Cameron, Missouri- Betty Jean Brady, 92, Cameron, passed away on October 4, 2017.
Betty was born on June 15, 1925 in Kansas City, Missouri to Joseph Harold and Lillian (Quisenberry) Grove.
She was a 1943 graduate of Cameron High School. She enjoyed playing the bass drum in the Cameron Marching Band and the Cameron football games.
On April 6, 1947, Betty married Orville Jr. Brady in Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville Jr.; grandchildren, Shawn Arthur and Miranda Lynn Brady Smith; 2 sisters, Marjorie Perry and Martha Demarest.
Betty worked as a switchboard operator for GE Telephone Company, for Cameron Savings and Loan for 10 years and then a bookkeeper for Floyd Shelman Realty, before retiring.
Betty was an original member of M& K Club in 1952, Cameron Boots and Saddle Club in 1952, Sweet Adaline’s and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She loved sewing, antiques, shopping, having parties, birthdays and Christmas.
Survivors: 2 daughters, Patti (Charles) Bowman, Cameron, Linda (Robert) Arthur, Belton, MO; granddaughter, Jessica Bowman, Cameron; 3 grandsons, C.J. (Amber) Bowman, Griffin, GA, Travis (Kristina) Arthur, Belton, MO and Ryan Arthur, Kansas City, MO; 6 great-grandsons, Azariah, Hananiah, Elijah, Ezekiel, Seraiah Bowman, and Hudson Arthur.
Services: 10:00 AM, Monday, October 9, 2017 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Visitation: 6-8:00 PM, Sunday evening at the funeral home. Burial: Cameron Memory Gardens, Cameron. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
