Kansas City, Kansas- Buddy Lewis Lane, 86, Kansas City, Kansas passed away December 29, 2017.
Buddy was born on July 23, 1931 in Richmond, Missouri to Hobert and Eileen (Williams) Lane. They preceded him in death.
He was a 1949 graduate of Cameron High School. He worked as a baker for Mallory’s Bakery, Cameron and Rainbow Bread Company, St. Joseph, MO. Buddy owned and operated Lanes Bakery in Marshall, Missouri and then worked for Associate Groceries for over 20 years, before retiring.
Buddy was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War. He was a member and Commander Marshall of American Legion Post #191.
Survivors: Cousins, Norman (Jean) Newby, Cameron; neighbors, Jim Frizelle II and Angela Wiglesworth, Kansas City, Kansas; half-brother, David Asher and cousin, Mahlon Wood.
Graveside services: 11:00 AM, Monday, January 8, 2018 at Harlan Cemetery, Cameron, MO. Visitation: 10-11:00 AM, Monday, prior to the service at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
