The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Frances "Fae" Lewis can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Nylen and Family,
We are so sad about Fae's passing. She was one of my favorite cousins, always full of joy and laughter. We will miss her greatly in our thoughts and prayers, even though we are at such great distance away. Nylen, we know you were a great caregiver and we know that you will miss her greatly, but keep the memories of the good times to remember her.

Condolence From: Janette (Vanderslice) Sweem
Condolence: Just to mark the branch of the family tree, I am Mae and Butch’s niece on the Vanderslice (Olin) side. I didn’t know Fae well, but certainly saw she and Nylen on many occasions at family gatherings throughout the years. One memory of her I will never forget was when I was very young and at Aunt Mae’s house when I saw a picture of the two of them. I exclaimed, “Aunt Mae, there’s two of you!” And you know that laugh; infectious. So very sorry for your loss, Nylen and family. She was such a sweet lady, always had something nice to say and a beautiful smile. Many prayers to all.

Condolence: Although I'm not there with you guys, you are fondly in my thoughts, prayers and memories. Nylen, you and Fae helped get me through those first 2 years of teaching. Your patience, guidance and friendship meant the world to me. The meals, parties and fun times (including the Christmas break party with the charades and "Mother Goose" card!) made those difficult years manageable. You've always been good and valuable friends even though we didn't end up physically close or didn't get to see each other often. The boys and nephews sporting events always meant our paths crossed about every summer and it was always great to visit and share stories.

Fae always cared about "her people" and was successful in bringing help, laughter and sunshine into their lives and making it a better place. Although you guys will miss her not that she is gone, just know that you had many happy years together as wife, companion, mother, grandmother and friend. Love you guys.
