Born July 15, 1941 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Gene S. Howard and Elizabeth Howard, passed peacefully into Eternal Life February 10, 2018 at Living Community in St. Joseph, MO surrounded by her treasured family and friends.

She had fond memories of her childhood, living on the USDA Horticultural Research Station in Cheyenne WY with her family. She was a 1959 graduate of Central High School in Cheyenne. She continued her education at Graceland College, Lamoni, IA, receiving an Associates degree in 1961. She earned her BS degree from Colorado State University, Ft Collins, Co in 1963, and completed her MS in Education at CMSU in Warrensburg Missouri in 1987.

Judy was a lifelong learner and teacher. She taught home economics and science at Osborn and Maysville High Schools as well as CMSU Warrensburg. She completed her course work at Texas Tech, was a Registered Dietician, and helped countless families and children for the rest of her career through the University of Missouri Extension and WIC Programs.

She was an outstanding musician and shared her talents playing organ and piano at church. She had a love for gardening and was a Master Gardener. Judy was a lifelong member of the RLDS/Community of Christ church.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents. She was married in 1962 and is survived by her children; daughter, Lisa (Mike) Peck, Overland Park, KS; sons, Brent (Laura) Millard, Franklin, TN; and Brian (Jennifer) Millard, Osborn, MO; grandsons Nathan and Joshua Peck; Braden and Logan Millard. A brother Stephen (Virginia) Howard, a niece Victoria (Scott) Lesher of Cheyenne, WY and their children Jordanne, Dylan and Jayson.

Memorial Service to be held Sunday February 18th, 2018. Visitation at 2 p.m. followed by service 3 p.m. Abundant Life Center, Community of Christ, 5130 Faraon St, St Joseph, MO.

Memorial donations to Three Rivers Hospice, Saint Joseph, MO.
