Clayton  Morlan
Overland Park, Kansas- Clayton Morlan, 94, Overland Park, Kansas formerly of Cameron, Missouri passed away on April 24, 2018.
Clayton was born March 29, 1924 in Pollock, Missouri to Harvey and Wineva(Davis) Morlan.
He was a 1942 graduate of Green Castle High School. Clayton earned his bachelor of science and master’s degrees in education from Northeast Missouri State Teaching College (Truman University). He taught for 14 years at Bloomfield High School, Bloomfield, Iowa and was Assistant Principal for 3 years. Clayton was the Principal at Iowa Valley Community Schools for 1 year, then was the Superintendent for 25 years. He retired with 43 years in Education.
Clayton was a World War II veteran, serving as a Technical Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps. He served approximately 3 years as a Radio Operator Gunner on B-17, going on 25 missions.
On June 10, 1966, Clayton married Elizabeth “Betty” (Loy) Fultz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; son, Kevin Fultz and a brother, Keith Morlan.
Clayton was a member of the Lions Club, Bloomfield, Iowa; member and past president of Kiwanis; member of the Iowa Association of School Administration, AASA, National Principal Association, 66-year Masonic Lodge member and worshipful master, 66-year member of Eastern Star and served 10 years as Worthy Patron, member of the Cameron United Methodist Church and the Church of the Resurrection.
Survivors: daughter, Janet (Jim) Barnes, Overland Park, Kansas; 2 sons, Tracy (Donna) Fultz and Terry (Susan) Fultz, Ames, Iowa; daughter, Connie Fultz (Curt Feller), Ladora, Iowa; 7 grandchildren, Aaron, Shannon, Elizabeth, Danielle, Cerissa, Tyler and Rachel; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Services: 11:00 AM, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron, Missouri. Visitation: 10-11:00 AM, prior to the service. Burial following at 4:00 PM at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Bloomfield, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Disabled American Veterans. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.com.
