Obituary for John Edgar Poteet

John Edgar Poteet, 81, Cameron, Missouri, died January 24, 2015.
John was born April 2, 1933, in Martinsville, Missouri, to Ralph and Amy (Burns) Poteet.
He was a repair technician for Southwestern Bell for many years. John was very active in the Cameron Food Pantry. He was a member of the
Cameron First Christian Church, American Legion Post #33, Boy Scout Troop 228 of Independence, Missouri and a Tribe Of Mic-O-Say member.
John married Eva Lea Long on January 24, 1953. She precedes him in death along with twin grandchildren, Amy Nicole and Michael Howard Frazier.
He married Betty Jean Lacy on July 4, 2012. She survives of the home. Other survivors include sons, Dan (Lori) Poteet, Prairie Village, KS, Richard (Susie) Lacy, Eagleville, MO and Ron Lacy, Rocky Mount, MO; daughters, Janie (Ron) Frazier, Tallahassee, FL, Becky (Mike) Dorian, Kansas City, MO and Diane Guthery, St. Joseph, MO; grandchildren, Rikki (David) Stelter, Megan Poteet, Jay Frazier, Nathaniel Curry, Ryan and Shane Dorian; sisters, Barbara Dale, Topeka, KS and Doris Jones, Hatfield, MO.
Services- 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Cameron First Christian Church with visitation 9:30- 11:00 prior to the service.
Burial at Graceland Memorial Cemetery, Cameron.
