Cameron, Missouri- Charlene (Askren) Stevens, 72, Cameron formerly of Lathrop, passed away on November 3, 2015.
Charlene was born January 5, 1943 in Plattsburg, Missouri to Charles and Mary Helen (Webber) Askren.
She was a graduate of Plattsburg High School and Missouri Methodist, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Charlene was a Registered Nurse, working at North Kansas City Hospital and Liberty Hospital, before retiring.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Plattsburg, MO.
On July 13, 1969, Charlene married Richard E. Stevens in North Kansas City, MO. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors: 2 daughters, Amy (Brett) Blake, St. Joseph, MO, Heather (Matthew) Martin, Cameron; sister, Anne (Jim) Matias, North Kansas City, MO; 2 brothers, Lloyd Askren, Plattsburg and Dean (Darlene) Askren, Perrin, Mo; step-mother, Eileen Askren, Plattsburg, MO; 3 grandchildren.
Memorial service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Visitation: 10-11:00 AM, prior to the service. Online condolences: www.polandthompson.
