NREDA - A shared memory
I am so pleased to have met and worked with Gib Keith in the founding of the National Rural Economic Developers Association. Through Gib, I became aware that electric cooperatives, not just in South Carolina, but all across the country, had an important role to play in improving the lives and economic interests of people living in rural America. Gib provided the solid and sincere leadership that made NREDA possible and provided the foundation that the organization has enjoyed ever sense. In those early days, the respect others had for him brought NREDA credibility. Throughout rural America today, hundreds of economic developers are standing on the strong shoulders of my colleague and friend Gib Keith.
