Obituary for James Dahl Knowles

James Dahl Knowles, 90, passed away on December 25, 2015 in Cameron, Missouri.
He was born in Puxico, Missouri. Served in the United State Navy during World War II and Korea.
He retired from Fisher Body Grand Blanc.
Jim was a past commander for the VFW post #6579 of New Lothrop, MI. A member of the American Legion post # 0367 of Montrose, MI. He was also a member of the Good Shepherd Knights of Columbus Council #8669 of Montrose, MI.
Jim is survived by his wife, Mildred, whom he was married to for 69 years. He is also survived by his 7 children, Mary (Bernard) McNiel, Joyce (Thomas) Longueuil, James (Filomena) Knowles, Helen (Floyd) Lemley, Ruth Evans, Laura (Patrick) Patterson, and Anita Knowles; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Munchin Catholic Church, Cameron. Visitation: 9-10:00 AM, prior to the service at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home with Rosary at 10:00 AM. There will be a graveside burial with Military Honors: 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, MI. In lieu of flowers, donors choice.
