Let me start with this is Grandpa's version and I don't recall Uncle Dale's recount or his side but this is my favorite story and the visual in my mind is easy because we all at one time have used an outdoor latrine!
So Grandpa sitting in his recliner, holding his white coffee cup, wearing a plaid long sleeve shirt, starts with a smile and a chuckle even before telling me this story.
So back on the farm in Mo., Uncle Dale is in the outhouse. Grandpa has the tractor backed up by it with a chain wrapped around it and proceeds to jump on the tractor pulling the latrine off it;s base with Uncle Dale in it! Now, I can;t tell it just like him and half of the story I loved listening to was grandpa laughing so hard his face turns red and he has to reach for his white hankerchief to wipe his nose and mouth. He is laughing so hard as with many stories he would tell us! Blessed to have known Uncle Dale and their personalities I can see them as boys pulling pranks like this all the time!!!
Speaking of Uncle Dale, can anyone else picture their reunion on Christmas Day! Wish I could have seen it!!!
