Dr. Crenshaw was one of 'those' teachers. The ones who make a permanent, positive impression on a student. I was so lucky to have him as my teacher at Central during the early 70s--turbulent times for which he provided great perspective. He was funny and entertaining and shocking and brilliant. I still think of him often, all these years later. I am so sorry to hear of his death.
